Do you Remember Road Rash?

In the 90's, there was a great motorcycle racing game called Road Rash. You illegally raced a souped up motorcycle over hills, twists and turns against a group of eeeevil competitors wielding bats and chains. All the while, you had to be on the lookout for the stray cow, dog or slow moving tractor.

Many of you younglings may not even have been around when this game was out. Well, now it may be coming back. The last release was 7 years ago PS One's Road Rash:Jailbreak but EA Games is thinking about bringing it back. Game on!

Nintendo Wii Demonstration a Fake

Wow. I just ran across this article (I know, I am a little late). However, it was pretty amazing. According to the Inquirer (not the Enquirer), the E3 demo of the Wii was smoke and mirrors.
THE RECENT demonstration by Nintendo of its new Wii machine at the E3 show was all fabricated, according to the Nintendo insider forum.

Apparently, the system was not quite ready and they knew they had to put on a good show. Wow.

Nintendo Wii - October 2nd ???

Although Nintendo won't tell anybody about when the Wii will arrive, it seems GameStop may have inadvertently given a hint at when we can expect to be waving our arms around, discovering all-new gameplay techniques.

A leaked listing from the US retailer has a provisional line-up of titles, with Rayman Raving Rabbids, Avatar: The Last Airbender and SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab all listed for release on October 2nd - perhaps the same date that the Wii goes on sale across North America.

Madden NFL 2007, Need for Speed: Carbon, Red Steel, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Call of Duty 3 and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam are all scheduled to follow shortly after in November if the list is accurate, with confirmation that EA's Medal of Honor: Airbourne will arrive on the Wii during February 2007.

Naturally it's all speculation at this stage; however, what we want to know is whether Nintendo will be able to follow the others and get the Wii to Europe shortly after this date.

Apple: IGame Coming Soon?

Rumors are rife that Apple is going to recruit a development team for a new videogame project. According to Gamespot, Apple is recruiting industry engineers with former LucasArts technical director, Mike Lampell as the head of the secret division. Gamespot has received the tip off from one ’secret’ tech sector recruiter.

Apple though has launched some small titles on Mac platform, but did not show any interest in the videogame earlier. On the iPod also it has only few simple and basic built-in games. Gamespot reveals that the rumored games will be available in iTune itself. What it suggests that Apple itself will probably distribute the games.

EA Rolling back Battlefield 2 Plans

BF2 won't be ready until the recent hiccups are resolved. I think this is a very wise move. It is better to delay than to release something that has holes for people to start 'dissin.
